Pelatihan Perancangan Pembelajaran Abad- 21 Melalui Pembelajaran Terintegrasi STEM Bagi Guru Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


ABSTRACT

The discussion on STEM has been trending internationally since 2014 with 144 publications in IJ-STEM alone. For schools trying to use STEM education, it is important for teachers to first understand the major influences on developing students' talents using STEM. Sometimes, translating findings from STEM research into a workable form remains a challenge and a gap emerges. This gap between teachers and the education system, forces the need to hold a service workshop from lecturers to develop teachers' hands-on STEM skills to be applied in schools. The target of this activity is all teachers in the school, representing 28 teachers from SDN Handil Bakti, Barito Kuala Regency. This program is in the form of training conducted in the form of classical and group and mentoring which is carried out continuously for 3 months. The community service training went smoothly, this was marked by the attention and interactive questions and answers during the activity.  The result of this training is that it can add insight to teachers as much as 97.2%. The delivery of material is considered interactive, can improve skills in making STEM-integrated learning designs and making innovative learning models has been fulfilled with a minimum satisfaction index value of 82% far above the expected average.


ABSTRAK

Pembahasan mengenai STEM telah menjadi tren secara internasional sejak 2014 yang telah mencapai 144 publikasi hanya di IJ-STEM. Bagi sekolah yang mencoba untuk menggunakan pendidikan STEM, maka penting bagi gurunya untuk memahami terlebih dahulu pengaruh besar terhadap pengembangan bakat siswa menggunakan STEM. Terkadang, menerjemahkan temuan dari penelitian STEM menjadi bentuk yang dapat diterapkan tetap menjadi tantangan tersendiri dan akhirnya muncul kesenjangan. Kesenjangan antara guru dengan sistem pendidikan ini, memaksa perlu diadakanya lokakarya pengabdian dari dosen untuk mengembangkan keterampilan langsung STEM guru untuk dapat diberlakukan di sekolah. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah seluruh guru di sekolah perwakilan guru-guru SDN Handil Bakti Kab. Barito Kuala yang berjumlah 28 orang. Program ini berupa pelatihan yang dilakukan dalam bentuk klasikal dan kelompok serta pendampingan yang dilakukan secara berkesinambung selama 3 bulan. Pelatihan pengabdian masuarakat berjalan lancer, hal ini ditandai dengan adanya perhatian dan tanya jawab berlangsung interaktif pada saat kegiatan berlangsung.  Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah dapat menambah wawasan guru sebanyak 97,2%. Penyampaian materi dianggap interaktif, dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dalam membuat rancangan pembelajaran terintegrasi STEM dan membuat model pembelajaran yang inovatif telah terpenuhi dengan nilai indeks kepuasan minimal sebesar 82% jauh di atas rata-rata yang diharapkan.
